Removing front splitter (?) bit

I'm going to tackle the rust on the Nova today, can anyone tell me if this plastic splitter (i think its what its called!) under the bumper comes out easliy or if theres any special technique to removal as im grinding out the rust which goes beneath it. There are a few little clip bits which look like they'll break if I wrench it out so any suggestions would be good!

that trim piece is held in by plastic expanding rivets, just push the centres through with a nail and they will come out
