My front wing (MK1 Nova) rattles quite a lot. I have checked all the bolts that secure the wing i.e. engine bay and bottom of the wing and they are tight never been tampered with.
Its the centre part of the wing closest to the drivers door which is the point in which it is very loose.
Sould there be something that secures the wing or is it a sealent which has come away?
Its very annoying as when i got to move off it will shake and makes an ugly noise inside the car
Please Help :thumb:

i would take the wing off and try re-sealing it then bolt it all back up.that should sort it.

Is the bolt fitted that goes through the inside behind the footwell trim panels?
That bolt holds the part on that you say is loose.
Perhaps the areil got pushed inside like mine? lol still havnt got it out since ive had the car, nevermind, getting new wings soon
the two bolts down in front of the roadwheel are sufficient to ratte the wing when they come loose or "fall off" lol due to rust!

Havent checked yet lads. Only just checked the thread since yesterday.
I dont wanna take off the wing. Looks like im gonna check behind the trim inside the car as mentioned hopefully thats the bit. Didnt know there was a bolt on the inside of the wing :)
I dont have an ariel in the front wing no more removed it years ago.
Thanx :thumb:
if its mk1 check the pic below - thats where all the bolts are.
Theres one right at the bottom on the outside under the sill of the car - possible its rusted through and is flapping about.
Failing that it could be the bumper mounting. Do you have the gte bumper or is it the single peice mid height bumper with the lower front valance exposed?

I have checked the screw behind the inner pannel and the top one has come away
was only a sealant which was holding the screw. I removed the screw and tried to put it back but there is absolutley no screw thread left on the wing.
Dunno what to really do, i suppose just leave it as is.
