i own a mkII in red, and plan to mesh my grille, ive been trying to think what colour to paint the mesh but nothing really comes to ind, either than spray it black enamel, or if i buy galvanised mesh leave it as it is (cos spraying it silver will be toooo bright)

any thoughts?

also, is a mkII grille easy to get on off? haynes guide makes it sound a doddle, but we all know those trusty bibles dont we!!!

My Nova is red, and I used galvanised steel mesh, and left it the original silver colour. It looks smart imo.

Black would look good too, but too like the old black slats....you might not be able to notice the diff on first glance.

mine is also a red mk2 and I used some mesh from b+q that I sprayed with bmw silver just to protect it really. It looks well laffin much meaner than the standard placky slats.

you want a colour to contrast the red, but like they said... not black coz it would look standard unless you got up close.
silver or gold would be best...
or something silly like a mad bright blue or green.
just to get noticed.
