for my front number plate i was going to get a smaller square 'motorcycle' one -BUT is this legal?? :o heard somwhere that its illegal.

yeh when i had my sqaure front plate it was bigger than a motorbike one, and the guys who made it said that by law it had to be, but a mate of mine has got a motorbike one on the front of his nova and never had any trouble..

TBH thought I doubt a copper would be that bothered about filling out the paperwork to get you to change a plate, unless it was obviously too small or the letters arranged in a duff way, OR he was going to do you for a few other bits and pieces too.
