peeps i,m a new driver ( proud mk 2 first car ) wanting to upgrade my 13,s to 15,s which i won on ebay. they are nova specific so i,ll have no sizing problems - but - mates have told me to change up a sizing in wheels will result in false speed readings..is this true ??
i really wanna do this cos me motors in great nick and these Fox rims i,ve won will set the scene.

cheers - happy new years.

they should affect the speedo, if you stick to 195/45/15 or 195/50/15

my 15's with 195/45's have a smaller rolling radius than the 13's that came off it :S

at the mo the size : 145 / 45 ...the car has no modifications to its suspension..( worried the 15s may rub... :o

With standard suspension, especially on a MK2, you should have no trouble with rubbing/scrubbing mate 8)

there was a slight rubbing , that has now been sorted by the angle grinder ....
i cannot get over the affect these rims n tyres have had on my pride n joy...slower on take off , but quicker on top end..also the steerings almost like power steering , and the car feels like its on rails - stable..
many thanks for the advice

forget every thing about the speedo reading when putting new wheels on as long as the off sets ok there should be no problems at all, then lower it lol
