Hello,
Sorry I haven't posted this sooner, but i've been really busy.
Basically on the way back from Trax2004, my engine decided to give up. After much abuse she finally went big time. BANG!
Clouds of smoke engolfed the car. I quickly pulled off the road and came to a stop. Smoke was bellowing out of the bonnet like you wouldn't believe, and the when I looked under the car there were flames licking up from around the exhaust manifold. Doh... My only option was to open the bonnet as I couldn't get any access to the flames due to my stupidly low front bumper.
Oh course when I did pop the bonnet Air got in and made massive flames lick up above the Turbo. CRAP!!!! And guess where my Fire Extinguiser was..... in my mates car. CRAP AGAIN!!!! At this point a passer by stopped, and thank god he had a massive bottle of water.
Some how we managed to get the fire out..... But without this water I would have a write off for sure.
It wasn't till I got him home and started taking the front apart that I discovered a nasty surprise lurking behind the Turbo. This Hole!

Nice hey!!!
But it gets better, not only was there a hole in this side of the block...... oh no..... it had punched one through the other as well! MAD
Here's a close up of the hole

Turns out one of the conrods had snapped at the base, and if you look closely in the above pic you can see the base of it still connected to the crank.
Thats what you get for building an Engine right on its limit. Never mind.... she will be back though!!! BIGGER FASTER.... and most importantly STRONGER!!!
Heres some more pics.
