how do i check used wheels?

iv found some GTE 15" alloys with tyres on the scrap yard and i wanna kno how 2 check them 4 quality and how much i should pay. can anyone help???

kick them lol

ckeck them for uneven wear, punctures, being buckled and etc.

i'd pay around ?50 for those. Then take them to a tyre fitters and get them to balance them.

as marty sez; if you can before buying; take them to a tyre fitter (get the seller to go with you) tyre fitter can check to precise mm how bent/straight or gay they are. then decide.

Doubt a scrappies gonna do that tho. But good advice nonetherless.

The only thing you will be able to do before buying them is to inspect them for obvious damage, like crack's or buckles...and just make sure you get a damn good price on them, if the tyres are wank, ?50 as Marty says!

15" GTE alloys?
GTE what? No GTE that I know of had 15" rims on a standard?
Nova GTE - 13"
Astra GTE - 14"

If they are aftermarket 15"s then firstly check that the offset is at least et45 (Preferably et49). Normally the et (offset) is stamped on the back of one of the spokes, inside edge of the rim or under the centre caps (If they have them).
