ok,here is my predicament:
i am currently in the proces of getting parts for my Corsa a(NOVA) its a everyday car with a 1.2ohv in the works, and has 40/30 lowering bilstein shocks and eibach springs

it gives a harder ride so i have compensated with 175/70/13 tires on SR 5.5j steel wheels

as i drive my wife and son in the car im afraid that fitting a 45 or 50 profile 15" wheel is gonna bust my kidneys a bit:)

can anyone give some guidance on rim/tyre selection,so it wil not rub on crappy croatian roads

thanks in advance

Hi,
There are many tyre/rim combinations if your ride is too harsh now it will only get worse if you go up with rim size and down in tyre profile.

Is your Corsa A a Hatchback or saloon?

If you have a hatchback there is less clearance in the rear arches, best advice is to stick to standard offsets of 49mm and don't go beyond 6J in width to keep it simple

I used 170/70r13's on my 1982 opel kadett (mk1 astra) and I thought the handling was great, with a soft ride. in the uk, people feel the need for 15" or 16" on everything..

I now have 185/55r15's on my nova, and the ride is still quite good

thanks guys

biggest problem is if i go with a really wide 13"(and them are scarce because of the hill climb guys)
it will look crappy without a good amount of lowering

so i was thinking some of the standard opel wheels in 14" or 15" with 185/55 tyre

and brace for impact :D

oh yeah its a two door hatch
