fixed the cambelt went out for a drive to make sure all was ok came round a sharpish corner near me house at about 30 an there was a tyre sittin in the midle of the road an i couldn't avoid it, damaged bumper, bent up front valance an has done sommant strange to the steering.the wheels now point in 2 directions when one is straight the other is slightly turned, my question is: has the valance gonna have pushed the bar goin to the bottom arm which has inturn pushed the bottom arm out an therefore w@nkered my steering? if not any thoughts anyone?
this nova is really p1ssing me off now :(

if u know u are gonna have to hit something it's safer to power though it than brake into it... i hit a badger at 130mph and got away with a small crack in the bumper.... if i had been braking the front would have been a lot lower

Its obvious that something has been bent, the only way to find out what is to get it on axle stands and whip the wheels off,its probably more than one part that is bent, just pray the actual chasis is out of shape :|
I wouldnt drive very far until its sorted though as it may be on the verge of something falling off, which you dont want to happen while you are driving along,GET IT CHECKED QUICKLY!!!!

bottom arms are notorious for bending, but it does stop anything else taking the impact. I sold a s/hand one recently to a lad who clouted a kerb, at walking pace.

I didn't know badgers got onto racetracks during the day.. Maybe it was a night race at Snetterton!! that would explain 130mph, because we don't drive fast on the road.

P.S. A bloke I know hit a badger in his 1.3SR at 60mph on the way home from a pub and it put him in the ditch writing his car off. He stayed in the car for an hour cos he was frightened that the badger was going to attack him..

That is your best bet, they are very weak if unmodified.

I know it's going off topic....

A Phesant casualy stepped out infront of my Landy in the Spring, tood and watched as it's life came to an end with a 'ping' off the front bumper. Cab Filled with feathers lmfao.

I'll never forget that 'ping'

Doesn't sound like anything a large hammer can't sort out, hope it goes OK

if the camber is out too then it might have done the actual hub, believe it or not even though they are a cast item they still bend
