That pic is from street view every time i go past it's dark as I finish work at 6, I live round the corner from it. it was only recently cut out of a bush witch it sat in for years so someone still cares about it either that or they hate bushes. I did leave a note on behalf of someone on here, I might try my luck one day by turning up in my nova and seeing if they'd let it go. but if you want to try I'll give you the address by all means, it'd be nice to see it on the road again. :)

its not really as bad as it looks underneath is in good shape and the main points as such

the story is around 14 years ago it was taken to a bodyshop to have a respray and a few small touches since being taken to the body shop the owner has not contacted the body shop,

the owner of said bodyshop seems to think the customer will turn up one day so refuses to move it etc its been around about a year since my last effort so will try again shortly

Funny the bodyshop i used to work at have a Bmw 3 series Alpina, it's been there 10years. Came in for sills, arches ands a repair.. Never left. Did look like this... Bar it's a 3 door.
Owner rings up once a year to ask if it's done.. Bullsh*t is given and he rings again in a year.

Just had a G reg 1.5td in next door looking for parts. It was pretty mint and managed to speak to the guy. He had just got it back on the road after being in his garage for 10 years. He said it had only done 18k miles and he got it on the road after his 1.4SR gave up.
He has had loads of other Novas including a 1.3SR which he had the grey burberry interior fitted in this 1.5td and was also mint.
Gave him my email address so he is going to get in touch later.

Saw a white J reg spin on the A31 between Verwood and Ferndown (Bournemouth area) on Friday. I was at the McD's drive through when it went past. Looked Mint down the n/s, with a young girl driving. I got my food and chased after it Smokey & The Bandit style, but it was 7 or 8 cars in front of me and i lost it at some lights.

So tempting to post a pic. I even just painted the plate out and uploaded it to photobucket. Just terrified that someone will recognise it and jump in with an offer.

As it stands i made it clear to him that negotiating a price was not top of the list of prioritys, just that i was interetsted and would pay what it was worth. We both agreed that we wouldnt use the glass guide and that it would go to a good home. He bought it new 24 years ago, and has had it serviced 3 times a year. Its on 103k, but is still as it left the factory more or less.

Its a white GTE.

Yes it is Onslow's Cortina. Its in the garden of the guy who rented it to the production team for use on the program.

It is still there to my knowledge, with trees growing through it as that photo is probably 10years old or more.

They say the spark plug is still in place in the exhaust backbox to backfire on demand. There was a mk1 Transit recovery truck in an episode too and that is/was owned by the same person.

I spoke to this guy a week ealier. He was in his late twenties and had the nova as his first car. It'd been rebuilt a couple of times after some pretty serious accidents. Its now running a 170ish bhp 20XE on ITBs, R888 tryes, carbon bonnet, cage and stripped dash.

Couple of Mk2's in our resort in Ibiza. The first one looked very clean, the second one was a bit of a dog. Had a good look around it as some English guys were looking at it to buy. It was only fit for the scrapyard imo! Anything goes in Spain though!
Seen an early Mk1 in San Antonio but the pics are on my camera, will post them later. The old woman came out of her house to see what I was up to, she must have thought I was nuts lol.
Winning the bet so far with the missus, we had a guess on how many we would see over here. I won the first bet as I bet on 'how many Nova's we would see'. I said none and she said ten lol. Then had the real bet, the closest wins. I bet three, she bet ten again! If she won I have to sell a Nova, if I won I could buy another lol we are on four so far so looks like I am on target to by another lol lol lol
