HI

THIS MUST BE ONE OF THE SADDEST QUESTION I HAVE EVER ASKED!!

I have a nova 1.0l sports (merit) F REG.

I sat down in the drivers seat last week and bent it!!! LOL

when i try to drive im 22 degrees rightside!

This is my question then!

Merits have fixed back seats. Im wanting to out a new interior in the nova but dont know which are compatable?? are all 3 door and 2 door novas compatable with each other??

can i take the interior out of a 3door sri and put it into a 2 door nova merit?

Anyone out there give me advice and compatability!! I have to drive to London on thursday but cant face driving at 22 egrees east! LOLL

col :?:

All seats are compatible. The Recaro style front and split rear seats from an SRi will fit into your Merit. As will a GSi interior. I think they are all 100% compatible with every car.

I got a 1.2 litre. It had shitty grey seats in it. Had a mate with blue SRi seats. Put em' straight in. Also a rear headrest conversion is good with split rear seats.

Hi

My merit has fixed back seats, (they wont fold down)

If i put split back rear seats in will the compromise anything?? like insurance and the strength of the car?

I guess 3doors all have split backs, and i think im right that vauxhall never made recaro seats for a merit!!

If its ok to put them in then i will do it tomorrow.

How easy is it??

i can fix computers with a screwdriver between my butt cheeks but when it comes to cars i aint got a clue!

If you can send me an email or post back on how to change them id appreciate it.

if u fit split rears u will need the bracket welding in the middle at the back!!

front seats will fit any!!!

you dont need to weld the bracket in the rear seats for the split - just fashion up a bracket using 2 old fence post bracket supports - (I'll post a pic eventually) - the first one is bent to forn a circle which the ends of each seat slot into, then you bolt it to the second one which is bent and screwed to the inner side wall of the spare wheel well - holds them in place a treat - and they recline fully!

saloon mounts are TOTALLY different

the saloon has a sheet of steel which the seats hook into at the top and the clip in place at the bottom

the hatches are the exact opposite - the hinges are at the bottom on the hatch

u prolly could make it fit but u'd need to weld in the brackets from a hatch first

you can get the seats in a saloon easy with a few mods...

we threw gsi trim in this chopped saloon easily
