Well done to Captain Marvel (Michael Owen) wit 2 goals... :D

The first half was terrible... :( we were all over the place at the back, and we were lucky that their finishing was just as bad as our defence.

Second half was much better, 4-4-2, and Vassell looked very sharp when he came on 8)

and then Michael did his thing... :D

in the end we could've had a few more, but the main thing is the 3 points in the bag... :)

The Turks won 3-2, came from 2-1 down. Bastards!

We were shite 1st half werent we! If we were playing a decent team we would have been 3-0 down & not a prayer.

Still on the positive 2nd half was good!

One of the worst performances ive seen :(

but when hargreaves come on and sorted the back out instead of the twat mills everythink started looking gd etc

And when the main man vassell come on the whole team changed :D

And i got the scariest feeling it will all come down to the last game with turkey at their place to go top etc :(

i only saw one part of the whole match and that was when owen scored the second goal for england...

I was in the chippy at the time getting fish n chips an they had it on the tele in there beside the counter.

Glad all turned out well > but when you say Slovakia are shite i think you are forgetting that England are not the world conquerers of 1966... we have ups and downs and are often only as good as the so called "shite" teams. A fact which tends to be forgotten by us all too often as we only remember the glorious matches like 5-1 against germany and beating argentina JUST in the world cup last year.

As a country we need to be loyal to our national squad, but at the same time we need to be realistic and look at the facts > we have one of the strongest teams in the world on paper, but our team rarely produces the sort of performance its capable of.

because there is no balance in the team, we have a lack of flair and pace. though pace is improving over time i must admit. But we are a mile short of the top international teams still.
