Not now no as the youngest of thems probably 15yrs old.

But the early ones had 156bhp and the later ones 149bhp due to the cat.

This is quite true, however a good friend of mine had his corsa on the rollers at midpoint garage over the weekend, never rebuilt, 120k+ miles, engine regularly serviced, standard apart from a p/cap and exhaust and it made 154.

Unless EVERYONE uses the same RR, same operator in the same conditions, you cant really RR compare figures.

im with rob, my mates have seen high milage xes making very good power and seen some lower more 'average' milage xes making alot less. even speaking to engine builders, they've found some stock xes make more than book figures and some make less

i'm a firm believer in 5k oil changes and letting an engine warm for 5 mins. it loosens them nicely and they love it.

agreed rob, should never rev a cold engine hard imo.

Again - unless they are all on the same rollers, its tosh matey.

The old 'good' and 'bad' XE has been debated for donkey's years - I have owned millions of them and the 'bad' ones usually have something wrong with them (timing out slightly or sensor having a fit)

If the engine is running as it should, they will all make similar power ime.

i'm a firm believer in no oil changes and letting an engine hit the limiter for 5 mins. it loosens them nicely and they love it.
