Thanks mate no the pannal has filler on it where there was surface rust, the guy just painted over it and thought i wouldnt notice, i had a massive go at him about it so its just been sanded back and pretected with a anti rust primer then filled, hes ment to be repainting the whole rear pannal any day now,,

I know matie i was so mad at the guy, i just want the car out of there now im probs goin to get some more work done on the car by someone else at a later date had enough of the sh*t now just want it out of there, its such a shame as everything else is tidy but like i say il get it sorted by someone else,

As for the lower pannal i will be painting that white again at some point that was painted by Ga at welsh coast customs he welded a plate on the pannal then painted the whole thing black with a stone chip paint gessing thats all he had,,

Yeah I can see it needs to come down, it's your car but personally I wouldnt get carried away with 'slamming' it.

If its OK I'll ad a pic of mine on GAZ coilovers??? I got it as low as I could before it upset the handling IMO. It was bouncing off the bumpstops & jarring. I literally had it spot on to the millimetre.

i have my suspention here ready to fit once the cars home not in any rush to get it done tbh,, car looks very track atm lol,, started it up after 2months yesterday fired up no probs, let it run for about 30mins then gave it a rev and a water pipe blew off from the head went everywhere..

Better the hose blew off in the workshop than out on a dual carriageway in rush hour traffic. I squeeze a bit of grease into the screw thread of jubillee clips & tighten them with a socket not screwdriver. Grease helps them go a bit tighter if you go by 'feel'.

Slamming the back down will make the car feel more under steery though. Obv will look nicer if that s your bag bug it helps the turn in & fr end feel if the back is a tad higher.

You can try & trial it for yourself I'm sure. Assume you have coilovers?

i would get the rear wheels off and seal the rear arch lips as well or they will just start rotting as they are un protected and just folded back on them selves,

its not a dig just some advice about the rear arches i thought the bodyshop wouldve sealed them when they were rolled???

Very true.. as i say the nova hasnt been flated yet. and i know there are afew defects. but once the car has been mot'd its goin back to the paint shop to be flated and polished. any defects will be gone. the car wont leave the paint shop till im happy with it. the guy know this....

hopefully have an update with pics soon to show how things are goin.

had afew probs with the paint shop wasnt happy with the finish on the front bumper its currently waiting to have afew more bits finished ten mot next weekish.. possible up for sale soon !!

Yea i willl drive it for abit but was thinking of storing away for the winter
didnt want the winter taking to it after all the hard work... im not really sure why i want to sell maybe i want to move on to somthing else or maybe its just
the how annoyed i am with how slow its come along now i just want it out my sight will see how it goes in the next few weeks i have spent near £6000 on this and wouldnt just let it go for nothing would need a tidy offer to make it final.. i know il never get all my money back but its a great car and would like to think will be around for a while.

Theres not alot im not happy with its mostly just paint wise... and just how the garage are about it when i say umm is that how you intend to leave it for well knowing they have done a **** job. little jobs and things they miss out parts going missing tell me you will have it back in afew weeks this turning in to months its just a joke really need to get it back but dont want to rush them as i want a tidy job doing.. must of come close to smacking the guy at the paint shop 4 times as hes just a mouthy stupid pr ick just wanna floor him then set this garage on fire if im honest... lol rant over.. and yes id like afew different sets of rims to play with be nice to change it up now and again..

Umm hes got to replace the washer motor wiper moto and wire the side repeters in as theres no wires there for them.. then as far as i know its time for the mot hes really busy so i might not be done till the end of next week now.. once thats all sorted it off back to that paint shop to have some bits sorted..

Right not updated this for some time theres not really been alot to say to be honest.

The novas All mot'd now really happy its passed theres basicly a handful of things todo now central locking wiring needs sorting heater nob wiring and so on..

its over the paint shop having some bits re-done and the pannals lined up as i wasnt happy with there work...

i have aimed colour code afew things to make it that bit different..
if you look back afew pages i bought the red carpet and had the black and red leather seats done for it to try tie it all in and look nice and sporty.

Hey Guys not updated this for a while as theres not been alot to say but its abit mixed by this i mean,
on the good side the cars mot'd and ready to bring home if i wish.. on the other side the paint shop havent done what they agreed to do, you may have seen afew payes back that the car needed to go back to the body shop to be flated and polished, the car went back to have the work done i had a quick chat with the chap who was working on the car he seamed clear on what was left todo.. this was 3 4 weeks ago and i havent hurd from them, on monday i went to go see the car and be surprise it wasnt there, so i went round to welsh coast where the car was built and it was tucked away in there lock up, after a quick chat with Ga it turns out the chap from the body shop droped the car off telling Ga that he was going on holiday and didnt have time to work on the car and to also tell me not to worry about the last part of the bill !!

im bloody annoyed and out of pocket the paint shop have packed up and run off,, the car looks fine but is no where near what i want it to look like,

so plans now are to get the Car off to a friend of Will F's off here (Will Foy)
hopefully he can get the nova to a where i want it not sure what hes going to have to do yet but possible a quick blow over or maybe just a flat and polish, looking to get the car over to him soon so will update with whats going on soon.

So one year and three months Later the nova is finaly home, its not 100% finished, skirts need fitting bumper need fitting properly engine needs tune up ect ect still lots todo but least its at my house now where i can work on it and get it that bit closer to being finishd,,

if anyone has some mk2 bumper brackets let me know :)
