what vaux coil can be used on the 8 v engine

i remember ages ago some one said the cylinder shape coil on the 8 vavle engine can be replaced with a higher ampage one from another vauxhall
does anyone know what car it can be found on?

dare i say it but am running a ford coil pack on mine, that i must say has bin mint and has more poke than any of the nova coils

what engine is in your nova mine is 1.4 so has the mini loom on the coil
