yes mate certanly is, ideally your meant to soak it in warm water, fit the wrapping, then start your engine until the excess water evaporate's, but you wont be able to do that, just dip it an re fit it :thumb: it will be fine mate :thumb:

sparkie1401
12-10-09, 08:49 PM
other little details include
the heater control and main light switch illumination have been wired so they only come on with the side lights
and the front fog switch has also been wired to the ignition live so i can have the fogs on without any other lights, ive done this as they are actually DRL (day running lights) so i can have them on on there own just like you see on all these modern Audi's etc and the new Vaux Insignia

You read my mind, joking obviously, are you having any more bits done?
sparkie1401
18-12-09, 11:29 PM
yes
exterior door handles
rear wiper arm
rear bulb holder access trim
and possibly the rear view mirror base, definatly if i have to mod it to house an interior light. this is because i want to put a cavalier one on the screen and the trimming man cut a hole in the wrong place on my roof lining (thosser)
Carbons nice, the dash bit is there a join?
sparkie1401
19-12-09, 10:59 AM
join, dont think so ben just smooth carbon
a couple of the parts have a run in the lacquer but ill get that flatted out

I know how you feel mate as it seems to be coming apart faster than you have time to build her, she will get finished, once your sparky (see what i did there :p) has been and done the last few bits and bobs then you can crack on with reassembly and she will be ready to take for a few squirts:thumb:

SMALL UPDATE
sourced a few relays i required for the upgrades im doing on my nova inc.
a timer for the headlight washer so it only does a short blast
relays for my heated front screen
also had a look at some washer pumps from cars fitted with h/light washers, having looked at C5's Alfa 156 vectras, founfd the Laguna to be quiet small and well suited to the Corsa C washer bottle im going to use
the Corsa C bottle will fitted in the NSF wheel arch, going to find a good mounting point at the weekend
tommorow hopefully going to paint/lacquer the oil cooler ready to fit over the weekend
already modded the washer bottle to fit the laguna pump, it doesnt leak and will get it painted black to disguise it a bit more
will drill nova grill ready to fit the astra washer jets, also clean the jets up ready to colour code
Auto electrician is back on form, will be here most of friday:thumb:
heated screen wiring is in

cheers for the REP and in answer to the above
1) it is linked to the screen and only when the lights are ON, but i want it to work factory and it will do a blast of EG 2 seconds and stop! if im squirting the screen like mad the headlamp washers will empty extra fast
im also putting a switch in to turn them off completely for EG the summer
2) rear wiper mods are to wipe if the front wipers are ON and reverse gear is selected, a nice little moddern touch
3) mucho grassy ass

GUIN :p
the bottle will be mounted in the NSF arch at the botom so i can fill it up and to clear the wheel
ref the grill it just needs measuring to getem central drill a hole for the washer pipes and they self tapper screw from rear
GUINY:p
only thing im worried is will the bottle get punctured by stones from the tyres? so im thinkin of making a shield for it and it will be black to disquise it a little

the black relay is the headlamp washer timer from a CDX vectra
the grey relay is for the heated screen its 70amp so is finw for my heated screen as the windsreen man informed me that when on would draw around 23 amps ish
the TOAD thing at the top is the total closure ECU and all this has been located and secured via the origianl 1200spi ECU threads/brackets

Done a little more mincing today
some pictures are on my mates phone so ill post them another time, most prob the week after next
but first i fitted my washer jets
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj128/sparkie1401/DSC01317.jpg
then i fitted my LED DRL (day running lights) to my splitter
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj128/sparkie1401/DSC01312.jpg
and tried messing with a little mesh, but im having thicker mesh and black
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj128/sparkie1401/DSC01311.jpg
and that stuff fcuking hurts to lol
then made a bracket for the window switch trim
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj128/sparkie1401/DSC01314.jpg
then filed/gound it to get a good fit, then secured it with 4 self tappers from the side
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj128/sparkie1401/DSC01315.jpg
if i finish this it will be painted to match car exterior and will house a hazrd switch and 2 extra switches i require for the spec of my car,eg fan override and headlamp washer on/off switches
then i shall put a cavalier clock/temp in place of the factory nova clock and hazard switch
started work on this but that can be finished when i return home and then carbon fibered by Don
borrowed this piccy from xXx nova xXx WIP to show you what i mean, and ive missplaced my cav clock at the momemt to, but i do have the trip comp. thingy to get the hole right

Are the headlight washers not going to run off the normal 'screen wash' functionality off the stalk?
yes theye are, however they will only work with headlights on and have a timed relay so they give a short blast instead of running whilst the windscreen washers are running , hence keeping the bottle full a little bit longer
im also having a switch in so they can stay permanently off :thumb:
