borrowed from A.N.Other forum...

I find this very disturbing.

A friend of mine works for the San Francisco Police Department and sent the attached photo of a drag race that went horribly bad. It's kind of disturbing to look at but serves as a reminder of what can happen when drag races occur.

*P.S. What also bothers me is the guy in the foreground looks to be a cop, He's probably off duty, but why isn't he doing anything to STOP this??*

Has anyone seen the name for F&F 4? it's even worse than the previous efforts. Original model, uprated parts or something equally as weak!

Thats the tagline you plum lol

Its supposed to be set between F&F2 and Tokyo Drift.

[edit] IMDB is always good for a laugh over F&F movies, lots of amusement on the forums lol At the moment there is a Lolthread about a Buick Grand National, they're jizzing themselves over how a turbo V6 is such a great car:

http://damox.com/cars/thumbs/Buick/1986_Buick_Grand_National_GNX2.jpg

Tank, anyone? lol

Not only did they not have a V8 (which in America means its a small eco-engine), they were 3.8 litre turbo and 200-245bhp standard. Although I guess by American standards thats actually pretty "awesome" lol

[edit again] And they weighed >1500kgs.... 1.5 tons with 245bhp, that must make it a "lightweight racer, y0" lol lol lol

Oh man, two epic fails in one day! lol

I wasn't to know that when I saw the trailer :D

RE the yank tanks, poor power agreed. However they aren't highly stressed engines, like Ferrari's V8's say. So will devour the moon miles with no complaints.
There's one of those Buick POS on Forza 2. it are amusing.

I don't care what anyone says, grand nationals ARE cool although underpowered. But then all the older generation american cars were underpowered, and most people with 1.2 corsas think they're race drivers lol

Had her dyno'd a few weeks back: 542HP @ 583FTLB

It's already pulled 11.4s 1/4 mile... but I know it's capable of hitting the 10s now that I've adjusted the suspension and picked up a set of slicks. I can't wait until spring to give'r a try.

I've already starting cleaning things up in the engine bay not seen in the above pics, the plan is to have it show car ready by the summer. I'll be ordering a full set of Pithon HoseLocks, and sleeving everything with the nylon multifilament seen in my PrometheusCU build.

I've also got a custom license plate for it: D VADER
There's a Vader doll on the dash and a Vader helmet in the rear window staring you down (eventually I'm gong to wire the eyes to the brake lights).

=)

It's not just a G-Body mate... she's a Grand National.

Its a modified 1987 Grand National engine. 79,000miles on the car and 15,000miles on rebuilt engine.

Older generation cars are good, the heyday was from about 1963 to 1973 - after that the oil crisis and gayhat emissions regulations killed the engines. Late 70s "muscle" cars are lucky to break 180bhp from 5 litre engines :(

Aanywoo, if I was having a yank tank I could think of much much better cars than that to have :p

the throttle petel says "warning, not a foot rest"

Think the one to the left of the brake says "gas".

Weird.
