hi, thought i would start a fresh wip as my other one was full of mincing. well my nova is a 1.2 swing in a dark red colour and i got it for xmas when i was 15 but now nearly 17 im hoping to have it on the road soon.
anyway hers some pics.

first thing i done was debadge and remove rubbing strips from the side.

i need a passenger door so i managed to get one and a gsi spoiler for free.

then i bought a gsi front bumper and the guy who i bought it off gave me the gte rear bumper for free.

then i sold the wheels after i painted them in a dark grey colour and i fitted a spi intake and a cheap induction kit and debadged the bonnet and bought a blue/grey sri interior.

get a colour match and spray it yourself man, save you a ton of cash.
got the wheels primered the day and spoiler so will post pictures up later.

sorry for rubbish pics there from my phone. em should have another 2 tyres fitted next weekend and aswell as having the wheels painted. should fit my other rear bumper aswell and should get the tailgate primed.
also going to get some cans made up of the colour of the car and just tidy the nova up so its a bit better looking and once a passed my test i will get it fully resprayed.

well a got a set of custom half red half tinted rear lights, anohter strutbrace so it clears spi and ant roll bar and painted my sr steels.

well had a wee muck about spraying my gsi front bumper hurricane grey and i fitted my standard grey rear bumper to see what it looks like. my dads says i should but i really dont know so what do you guys think.

I do like that, once the cars all painted one colour and the bumpers maybe run over again with some paint it will shape up really nice

i got a gsi tailgate and a second set of side skirts plus an interior mirror on saturday and on sunday i had 4 novas and a corsa turn up at my house to look a my nova. thanks to vaughan, his pal greg, ade, dougie and john for all there comment on the car.

aw aye i was preping the gsi front bumper at the weekend aswell, going to do the archs again then start to prep the whole car as im going to spray it myself. then fit my other sr steels get it lowered and then get it legal. sorted.

aye she is that vaughan. also rubbed down my gsi tailgate (get pics later) and had to remove my induction kit and strutbrace to fit the gay binlid as my dad rekons its drawing too much air and not starting and i also know it needs a service badly, a usally have it running most weeks but not been able to :( so another thing to sort out

They run 100x better with the original air filter mate :)
I beg to differ. Mine ran great. But had a complete corsa setup.

aye am happy with the doors. a seen ades nova when he was drining down and was there when dougie turned up
got most of my servicing bits for the nova and all my brake pipes are spot on and the exhaust system aint to bad, only needing a back box. i decided to re underseal my inner archs all round.

Isnt that rust on the inner arch (along the bottom of the chassis leg?)
surface rust if its the bit you on about, a hit with a hammer a few times seems solid then a wee rub down with sandpaper

whats the buttons in the center section in the middle of electric windows, looks like heated seats.

Remember that primer will soak up any water and start to rust
aw its fine, should be painted once mot'd. bit of trouble with be sting ariel and broke ariel as we drilled it quite far back :(

Take it your no having a rear window wiper ?
na the rear washer never worked anyway and would have been to hard to get the wires back in so smoothed it was. didnt have a welder so a used wee bit of mesh with fibreglass and done that from behind and wee bit of filer on the front.

A Nova with no rear-wash wipe definately isn't clean lol

No rear wiper REALLY sucks.
My nova came from factory without one. I wish it had one though.
**** it no really bothered looks better without a rear wiper imo,

looks good mate! :thumb: been thinking of doing the half tints on my rear lenses.
went out yesterday and fitted the windows to my new passenger side door, was going to fit it today but its raining so will get pics when i do them. the other drivers door (one not on car) has a bit of the door pin stuck in, me and my dad tried to blowtorch it lol and loads of wd40 but will keep cracking should come out. also got all the bits needed for service so that might be done at the weekend then it will be time to book mot.
I take with those pods you cant have undertrays? Thats the only thing that made me decide agaist putting speakers there.
Knock the old pin out with a hammer and teh usual pin remover (i always use a bonnet stay now)
yeah it means i cant have undertrays but not to bothered about that. got the passenger delocked door fitted, fits good and doesnt drop that much.

found a set of clear rear lights for sale and a quick text to vxkev and im collecting them on tuesday. going to spray the brake light and fog/reverse bits red so they look like euro lights with clear indicators

went and bought a timing belt for the nova today also need fan beld and thats everything ready for mot
got a set of clear lights today will get pics at a later date.

my dads been busy working on my nova getting it ready for its mot and been giving it a good old service. i didnt get any pics of that happening this morning as i was hungover lol but ive been modifying my dash to put clocks in were the centre vents used to be.

lot of flatting down and buffing afterwards will be needed but shouldnt be TOO bad
probs use g3 and some good polish then wax fcuk out it lol. my dads sprayed cars for years so wont be to bad. im going grey bumpers and red car

aye the fanblades were smart but needed new tyres and centres so got rid of them. and the steering wheel is from a gsi :)

I'd paint the pillars then mate, as surrounds without it look strange IMO, but look better with as the dark solid look flows though.

got some cally clocks and tried to fit them were the centre vents go but im useless at using fibreglass so there back out and i put the vents back in.

Aye the back can be done in about 15/20 mins but the front is a wee bit longer

i personally like them. need to go down the scrapies get another battery for the car as the battery thats in it is dead and wont recharge. not to bothered about the car atm concentrating on drivng lessons and practicing theory.
