1.3 sr head onto a 1.3 s astra block

Will a 1.3 sr head fit straight onto a 1.3s vauhall astra/belmont block?? without any modifications and would it be any gain keeping the sr block or just use the 1.3s whole engine. :o

sr has a better head i think - the inlet ports are slightly better

yes it is a straight swap anyway for definite.

you may be better off just whacking the whole thing in as the gains wouldnt be all that great without any other mods i dont think IMO

bear in mind that the cost of changing just the head may not be worth it alone - new bolts, gasket sets etc et
