Its been years since I messed about with a mk1 dash.

However,

Glovebox off
Steering wheel off
Clocks out
Stereo off (assuming)
Lower under shelf off
Release the ash tray & there are screw(s) in the upper edg
Release the heater controls (screws behind)
unclkip the heater cables
Undo the 2 screws at either end of the dash

It should come out.

Its all in the HAYNES Bible.

As above ^

Piece of pish. Taking any old car apart is in comparison to more modern stuff. Just make note of where you removed things from, take pics/note down If need be. I put the bolts back in where they were removed from if possible also.

Dont bother with any of that, get a hammer and smash it out, replace with mk2 dash :D
