Right due to unforsen circumstances i am rebuilding the rally car with new shell and cage.

So i am offering up my cage for sale.
Its a 6 point cage from Pilbeam which is similar to those used in the works cars. Main points about the cage is the dia of the tubing is 50mm not 46mm so its stronger plus the rear of the cage is not mounted on the rear arch it mounted onto the rear strut top again making the shell stronger. Cage is in good condition with a few scratches but it is use for a rally car not a show car.

Cage is based in Scotland so collection would be easier but could courier at a cost.

Looking for £400ovno. These cages do not become avilable very often so grab it while you can.

bar runs allong the top of the window but there is no bar under the dash but do not think it would take a lot to rig somthing up. Here is the best photo i have with nothing in the car

Without doubt the best cage you can get for a Nova without going to a welded-in type. This is the first Pilbeam cage I've seen advertised for years, so it will be a good buy for someone, particularly anyone building a works replica.

hi chris

I had an off on mull and was repaired by a friend but the repair work was not good and the shell is splitting around the bulkhead where it was not repaired. The drivers side front chassis leg got bent along with the crossmember, Leg pulled straight and the crossmember replaced with a new one but the cracks on the bulkhead and under the dash were not touched
Done two events and the stress has made cracks a lot worse hense bulkhead flexing when turning the steering along with driver's inner wing.
To repair it would mean back on a jig, take the inner wing off and re do it all a complete pain in the ass!! The thing is the car is complete and looking at it you would not know a thing. it was only when we put on rose jointed tie bars on and resetting the tracking that we we discover the problem 36hrs before the Pendragon rally!!!
Now bought another shell and going a full weld in cage for the start of next year and transfer all the other bits across.
So cage is now surplus to requirements. Got say Chris that cage was one of the reasons i bought the car.

How are things your end??
