Noooooo dont use a wire brush you`ll kill the carpet, im a valeter and we use hoovers with the thin nozzle type ends, you will find that if you rub the nozzle across the hiar both ways it will usually move one way, then just carry on going that way and it should stroke free, takes a while though, if not rubber gloves can work by just stroking across the carpet but they get hot though so be careful , good to see youre not the type to stress about little mishaps, after all the time and work you put in, a few more days wont hurt, im sooo looking forward to seeing this car, before and after its completed, err whats you gonna do with your evenings and weekends when you finished it though !!!
thats sum project m8,looking to be 1 hell of a minter:D

looking good joff,

coming along nicely, carpets cleaned up rather nice
p.s my cat wants her bed back s
looking wicked mate getting along very nicely. can wait to se it done
Just spent ages readin this and my hat goes off to you.
You have done some fine fine work there and had some great ideas.
Cant wait for the next update
for removing cat hair etc. I just wrap duct tape round my hands (sticky side out) & then roll it back & forth over the carpet.
Success !!!!!
We now have an engine installed again after 3 years of being separated they are back as one unit!!!
Anyway ..... got the water pump in and all the pulleys back on, cambelt on and tensioned and ensured that the engine was timed up correctly!!!
It was then craned over to a two post where my shell was waiting , heres a snails eye view of the underside of the shell on the ramp ...
With engine positioned correctly under the shell we pulled the engine through with the crane being carefully not to catch the bodywork!
I then got the mounts lined up and tightened so it sat in the shell correctly ...
I then bolted the suspension back on and put the wheels on and ....
And one newly installed engine and F28 gearbox in the bay (with lots of wires looking messy that need sorting) ....
And all finished ready to roll onto the back of the recovery truck for the trip home - car is now back in my garage where
I have the task of pumbing everything back in!!!!
Big cheers to Andy at Bridlington Care Car for the lend of the ramp, rescue truck and general brute strength getting the lump in!!
Enjoy
Joff
