Right, quick update .... just a bit of mincing around today as I am still awaiting some parts on back order with GM.
Got all the flywheel bolts sorted and torqued up which mean I could put the clutch and cover plate on .....
Also put the starter motor, water pump and back plate on along with all of the timing belt cogs , cam cogs and bottom pulley.
Just need to time everything up!
Also here's a better pic of the adaptor plate in the sump for the mechanical oil temp probe for my racetech oil temp guage
which will be mounted on the A pillar along with the water temp and boost guage.
Should have the inlet manifold and alternator back on mid week and hopefully the car will be transported back to my garage
next saturday where I can start plumbing in all the coolant and inlet pipes.

Even using special tool KM666 (I thinks that the number) to set belt tension !!! - you don't do things by half do you !!!

Actually starting the engine is a while off yet ...... but it feels as though things are finally coming together!!
Dash is now hanging from my garage ceiling so its out of the way and doesn't get knocked - the flocking has come out very well indeed - just need to sort out the centre console and I can start sticking the interior back in!!!
Job for this weekend however is tidy the garage up so I can see the top of my work bench!!
