Why hate MK1 dash?

Why is the MK1 dashboard hated so much, personally i think it suits the MK1 exterior better than MK2 dash in it, which alot of peep seem to do.

Plus like the MK1/2 golf's the sterio location in the MK1 dash looks alot better, (i.e. higher up) where as the MK2 its at the bottom like the pug 205's and mk2/3 escorts.

Plus side on MK2 dash, the knobs and swiches heater vents etc look more modern, but far from saying it looks better than a MK1 dash.

NOT HATING JUST THOUGHT DEFEND THE MK1 DASH FOR A CHANGE

I love the Golf MK1 dash ... Was in my mates the other day and it made the inside of the car look much bigger and loved where the head unit was.

I for one don't hate the MK1 dash. I quite liked mine when it was in the car. I also agree that the MK1 dash suits the MK1 Novas better.

But im not one to comment about styling since my view on how to style a Nova consists of if its not needed bin it.

mk1 dash is alright - just a little dated. But then the mk2 dash is also dated with compared to anything nowadays...

personal taste I guess.

Mk1 dashes are great for pikey bastids to pull up behind you and scope out your head unit.

I imagine they also make awesome door stops.

They are the most discraceful, hideous, tacky, distateful, ugly, shabbyest things ever designed by man. If they were big enough for a homeless person to live in, they would be the 'trailer trash' of the hobo community. Other hobos wouldnt let their dogs near them.
