Right well seeing my new mounts are on there way to me I thought I'd better strip the oengine out of the old nova ready to swap across for a trial fit, got all wiring and plumbing disconnected so it's just a case of dropping the suspension and exhaust and it's out,

    Pics no workie.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Photos back up and working again

and if all goes well should be picking up a corsa b Friday for its powersteering and servo.

bargain price so pays to buy the car rather than just a rack

just need to purchase my self a welder next and I'll be well away

Got myself a corsa b today to rape for a few bits and bobs. 5 door 1.2 gls. Amazed it's got electric mirrors, electric Windows and central locking , seemed a shame to rip it to bits as it was in good nick.

well I got it back and set about stripping the epas, brake pedal and servo and the rack aswell as it'll save me £100-£150 for a quick rack,

so so here's cars all lined up

no pics of it in bits I'm afraid ,

one thing mind if anyone asks you to remove a steering rack with engine in and it's on a trailer tell them to kindy jog on, what a pita of a job that was, squeezing the rack out from behind the engine and I couldn't get underneath it cause of the trailer !!

well got everything off that I need here's the epas setup

thinking of using the corsa clutch pedal aswell to save having to modify the nova one

Right then had a busy day today seeing as it was nice weather, decided to trial fit the let into my new shell to make sure everything fits as it should.

So i started the day like this let in one shell.

then i set about dropping it through the bottom, with my little 1 ton jack and loads of blocks of wood as the jack doesnt go high enough to lift the shell over

had an accident as i was dragging the engine on a block off wood across to the other nova, i had it on axle stands as i took the running gear off of it and leant against it and this happened

    its on the move

You can notice in this picture with it almost in that the front engine mount has been altered, unsure what mount for thou!! caused me some issues anyway will show in pics

    in ready to lower shell

After about an hour of the inlet getting stuck on the steering rack bolts i decided to take the turbo off to give me some more room, Had loads in the old shell but none in this one !

this gave me loads of room so i got it in on its mounts

but as you can see here theres something not quite right

cam belt end looks to low to me ?

i tried slacking off the gearbox side to see if it would lower down as the shell has been adapted for the standard f28 mount but it wouldnt drop any lower because of the rear mount!

so some quick thinking came up with fliping the drivers mount so it sits on top of the bracket which then leveled the engine nicely

it sits level in the engine bay now but will the mount be alright like that?
