Yeah I'm looking forward to be able to bolt on some nice clean parts, always the best way!

Still optimistic to get to April for the bodyshop ££££ dependant!

Update as above; started the Bilstein Shock refurb.

The yellow coat you see is a filler primer, I intend to rub back through this now, then grey primer, colour and lots of lacquer.

    Til next time.

So I haven't been doing much on the Nova, but I have been spending ludicrous amounts of money on my other one...

I've had this coming up six years now, and in that long term time i've been saving to do a Supercharger conversion which in the last few weeks has been completed!

It's now approx 250bhp from 150bhp. Makes quite a difference with an addictive engine note!

I'll leave some pictures for you all to peruse.

    Thanks.

Thanks Benn, it does come up well. I amazingly don't think i've ever taken proper SLR photos since I have owned it, felt quite cool spending the day cleaning it up and going out for some shots! Always used to do so with the Nova!

    Nova;

I've had 4 rear arches delivered now, a pair of sills and a pair of wings although they weren't as good as thought so these will be moved on and i'll end up with new ones I think.

Bilsteins have been painted and need to have another coat and then some lacquer. More photo updates when I get all my bits together. Still hoping over the end of Spring/Summer for it to go off for panel work, it won't make Billing though which was my original plan.

So Billing has come and gone, and I still didn't manage to make it in the Nova!

But, success, other than SR boot vinyl and B pillar vinyl I have all the parts I want/need to rebuild it!

    Some photos for perusal.

Mk2 Boot Trim - needs some mods to fit a Mk1, but always think they finish the boot nicely.

GTE Door Cappings - need rear cards (arghhh thought i'd bought it all!)

Yellow Bilstein rears - needing a refurb!

    The parts pile...!

New here are; Irmscher Air Box, Eibach Lowering Springs (should make near the ultimate ride!), New front calipers, discs and pads. Arch carpets. Panels.

Saving for panel work next...hoping something around September/October, with paint to follow.

Wow a long time has passed since is last updated my thread. I've put some pictures on Facebook though.

I've also been continuing to buy parts, smaller stuff of late.

    A set of genuine Vauxhall mats;

And then a set of GM front rubber mats to protect them

1.3 SR Boot Vinyl - a copy so i'm still on the hunt for a Genuine one if anyone has one?

    4 Branch Manifold

I picked up some matching Bilstein Rear Struts, started rubbing them down for paint.

Corsa GSi Brakes, grooved discs and green stuff pads.

I bought a Corsa rose jointed gear linkage to modify into a Nova one.

    Part 2 coming up...

So yeah I stripped this down over Christmas in preparation to fit all the panels in the Spring.

    Battery tray is solid.

    Headlights are good both sides.

Rear panel is very good, but for a little bit by the seam to rear quarter, we're going to whizz this back, if not too bad cut out and repair it, if gone, i have a rear panel anyway.

Front panel has not rot at all that i've seen so far - it's even really clean in the box section.

Closer shots of slight corrosion on rear panel

    More front end

Rear panel is solid on the inside face.

Boot floor is pretty good - one hole to the rear inner arch one side.

    Various wings off shots.

I've stripped the interior down to the drivers seat as so not to get any thing too imbedded (or catch fire too) body shop debris.

Now the lesser good bits, the car is really quite good in most places, i have some small holes to sort in the rear arches, one of these was hidden by a big chunk of mud so i can guess easily where the rest came from, seems the first owners may have liked a country trip!

And it's not sat near ready to go to the Bodyshop.

Also mid stripping I wanted to try on my new wheels!

It's now booked in to the body shop on the 27th February.

We're repairing all holes, cutting out necessary back to good metal, the inner arches front and back are getting wire wheeled back then re gravitexed and painted in body colour. Couple bits of gravitex to the underside to do (i'm going to do the underside at a later date due to space constraints).

Repair inner and outer arches, full paint too, more to come in time.
