    Yes it can and also wheel balance out you had that done ?

    Do what your gona do then get it tracked also

    It's all tracked perfect .. Got that done after fitting all the steering and suspension components ?

    If its play in the column, you should be able to see it with your head down under the dash, wobble the wheel & look for the inner shaft to move independantly of the latticed outer. The column has a bearing at the top within the plastic holder of the stalks etc. Easy to change. I think theres just a nylon guide/bush at the base & then the UJ which could be at fault, again easy to diagnose.

    If it's neither of the above then logically you have to look at the rack &/or rack ends.

    If it has as much play as you describe, it should be easy to find with one person checking & another shaking the wheel.

    is the rack actually loose??
    worth a check. I do presume you mean you can turn the wheel before anything happens??? type of play, and not the small bush in the colum that mounts it to the bodywork? where buy you can push the wheel up down left right?

    Both to be honest ... Iv got a column so will change over the weeked.. Thanks for the link mate
