85B Mk1 Nova 1.3 SR (Brown Interior). Pretty much perfect car.
After an extremely long search I found this car in a workshop a little over a year ago, It had sat there for around 8 years and although needing some love, it was very very solid. Much more solid that the one I sold 20 years ago in fact !
Since completion, it has seen very little use due to too many cars and not enough time, so it's time to let it go.
It is a very early Mark 1 Nova SR with the Brown check interior, showing 44,000 miles, whilst I don't have any proof of this being genuine, the condition of the car seems to suggest it is, the underneath is incredible for a 29 year old Nova being completely original and solid apart from having had a very small patch of welding on the drivers side sill some years ago, the MOT tester was very complimentary.
Suspension turrets, battery tray and boot floor all completely solid and original.
Upon purchase the car was completely repainted at a very well respected body shop (with photos), the drivers door was replaced with a new old stock GM door, all the decals were replaced with new and the front spoiler was also replaced with new so the car looks very sharp.
Mechanically it has had all the fluids replaced, a new carburettor, new exhaust, new cables and leads throughout, shock absorbers and bushes all replaced and I fitted a very nice set of originally optional 3 spoke alloy wheels with 4 new tyres, I also have the original steel wheels (which need repainting) with new centre caps and also four new tyres which will come with the car. It's also just had a new clutch fitted.
The interior is pretty much perfect, the drivers seat has had it's bolster retrimmed in a very close but not exactly matching fabric, but looks fine. A CD Tuner with aux socket has been fitted. It has a period pop out sunroof fitted which I've never opened and does not leak. Carpets, trim etc all perfect and everything present and correct with the only thing to note being the grab hands in the roof are both broken.
I have invoices for all the work I've carried out of course, along with original brochures and accessories brochures of the time which will go with the car.
I don't think there are many Novas left like this, one that can be used and enjoyed as it is ready to go with 10 months MOT and Tax included, so drive it away ! According to How Many Left, there are only 7 Nova SR's of this age actually taxed for use on the road !
Car is listed on eBay but I would discuss a sale outside of this to PNG members.
I suppose I'm looking for offers around £5,000. If not, it'll make what someone is prepared to pay for it I guess !
