    Default Young Drivers Insurance

Searching around for insurance on the Nova. I am still learning but am looking at taking my test within a month or two. The cheapest I found was £2,700 fully comp with the CO-OP. I was also curious and the same policy on a KA was nearly 4K . They also state they give you get a 40% discount with Pass Plus which i'm getting for free.

I was just wondering what sort of prices people were getting and if they had any experiences with Pass Plus discount! Cheers.

Insurance is just legalised theft, they wonder why there are so many uninsured drivers...

How old are you? I'm 21 and just got a quote from Adrian Flux on a modified 1.6 Nova....£2395 TPFT. Its my 0 NCB thats sending it up, I've never made a claim just couldn't justify paying so much money to insure a 1.2 Nova or Corsa

I'm 19, years NCB, nice area etc. Paying £2.2k a year fully comp on a 1.2 Merit with all the extra insurance options (modifications declared, legal cover, breakdown and whatnot).

In reality you won't insure a Nova on a decent policy for under 2 grand until you're into your mid 20's.

yea if you can mate leave your car as standard as poss and bite the bullit to gain your 1st years ncb, as building up your ncb is vital at your age.
After the first year it should go down considerably each year providing you get no extra points and no claims and dont go silly with your modifications

I payed 1200 for the first year on my nova, got 3points (sp30) and payed 700 the second year, now looking at around 1100 for 2.0 HDI pug 306.

Its never gonna be cheap, but does get better!

Nothing major the first year. My old policy on my other car went from 1600 to 1400 when I hit a years NCB, 200 squids isn't a huge saving when you're paying almost 2 grand
