Fitted the Gsi steering wheel yesterday.

Now I'm up for an original backbox and the interior will be cleaned thoroughly next weekend!

    Cheers!

    Jeff,

You seem to be missing the headlamp level switch - or was this not an option on euro models?

    Joff,

Headlamp level switch was an option in the Netherlands, as were leccy windows and the sunroof. Dutch Gsi's with leccy windows and a sunroof are very very rare. The wiring for the headlamp level switch is in place, both behind the dash and in the engine bay. All I need to do is connect the switch and source some headlamps with headlamp range control motors.

Will have to source a new headlamp switch housing, but I think these Mk2 parts are all at Niek's as I stuffed the old blue one with spare parts when I sold it to Niek back in 2004.

    Cheers!

Correct Joff - I had the control switch and headlamp range control motors fitted at my friendly Opel dealer right after I had bought my GSi (which was a typical poverty-spec Dutch GSi without any fancy options).

Bazil, that could be an option. But since I want to restore it I'm opting for a new pair of headlamps with motors. Found a pair in 'Die Heimat' (Germany).

    Cheers!

Picked up a new air inlet duct from my local Opel dealer today as the old one is held together by ducktape...
Seems to be the wrong one. I need the air inlet duct for a C16SE (90410785/834430) and this was an air inlet duct for a Mk3 Astra with a C16SE engine.
Two weeks ago another Opel dealer told me the part was NLS. This Opel dealer told me the correct duct was still available. Anyone who knows if the part is still available in the UK? As said GM part number is 904 107 85 and Opel/Vauxhall item number is 834430.

    Thanks in advance!

They seem to have 2 in stock. Also lots of other NLS numbers on their site.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks Niekos! Think we found one within the Dutch Opel dealer network. It's either in Maassluis or Spijkenisse. Does that ring a bell Niek? I'll give it a try tomorrow morning. If not, then GPS has one available for me.

    I'll keep u posted.
