Default How Can They Justify THESE PRICES?!

Just done some quotes on my Corsa & Nova for when i am 17

Details and prices are as follows, these are both WITHOUT modifications.

    Vauxhall Nova 993cc 3dr trip
    No modifications
    Car value: £500
Main policy holder - Dave Rome, 17, hed licence for 2 days, Employed, Panel Beater
2nd driver - Ste Rome, held licence since 1980, Father, Mechanic
Car kept on works car park during day, Driveway overnight
    Alarm & Immobiliser
    No NBC
    £500 excess

    Wait for it... £2,998!

    But thats not the Best

    Vauxhall Corsa Vegas 5dr 1396cc 8v
    No Modifications
    Car value: £500
Main policy holder - Dave Rome, 17, hed licence for 2 days, Emplyed, Panel Beater
2nd driver - Ste Rome, held licence since 1980, Father, Mechanic
Car kept on works car park during day, Driveway overnight
    Alarm & Immobiliser
    No NBC
    £500 excess

    ...... £4896!

How the hell can they justify them prices?! their saying im going to write the cars off in excess of 4 times a year!

I can honestly see now why some people think "Fcuk it, id rather pay the fine for not havign any"

@ the £500 excess on the Nova. You won't see a penny if you had to claim on that policy!

Thats not how it works You only have to hit one brand new jaguar

Still uber cheap though, god knows how young people actually get on the road nowadays

    Whos that with?

They are just daft quotes tbh.

Have a look round for some realistic prices.

My 1st year was around £1200, pretty much same circumstances/car as your nova...
