Performance Nova Group National Day 2008

It gives me great pleaseure to present The PNG's 1st Annual Event pics.
The event took place August 22nd to 25th 2008 and despite only a select "hard core" members attending it was a roaring success with 3 fun packed days and some pretty good weather!

Day 1 - Friday 22nd August 2008.
I turned up at about 5pm and Dan was already pitched and patrolling the perimeter preventing unwanted types from entering...Dan had already secured the best site to pitch...


and promptly boasted about his immaculate Nova 1.2 - which he'd just brushed down after hardly using it since PV.




I picthed in the next best spot...


Day 2 - Saturday 23nd August 2008
A gorgeous day with full sunshine from dawn till dusk! Most of the day was spent cleaning cars and getting to know everyone - with a mad bout of "boot the football"

Then Mike rolls up in the Corsa "Toaster" - 10/10 for creating the biggest laugh of the weekend as he pulls a generator and microwave out the boot! Nice pants by the way!

A mental game of footy then starts between Lee "Peter Croutch", LeeH and Riggy...unfotunately I couldnt get Lee but suffice to say he is a lanky git so we made him run around loads!

Someone mentioned food -
Riggy proved he could cook a mean sausage -


Kev bought dan the mother of all pork pies...note £1 coin for scale reference


and Libby chomped on some dog food - making Dan jealous...


And Mike decided he wants a microwaved curry - I swear it looked like someone had just thrown up!




But apparantly went down really well!

At some point there was a twang and Burgo's tent decided it'd had enough!


a quick rummage through ades tool box and some masterful abuse of a screwdriver and some pliers by Dan soon had it sorted...until it went twang the next day!

I'll skip the bit about the 10 of us going to the pub for food and having to wait HOURS to get served - suffice to say the food was nice the service was sh1te!

Saturday 23rd August continued...

The boys bottled the whizzy thing - making comments about the pikey who ran it and the fact that there was lots of "greese daily" signs and they bet that it'd never seen a blob of greese in its life. The girls went on it though much to the grumbling of the blokes...

Sunday 24th August 2008 - the main event

Not the best night - some tw4t nicked one of the flags and I woke up at 5am to an absolute downpour. Thankfully by 10am the miserable drizzle had passed and by 11am the sun had burned off the clouds leaving another gorgeous day - perfect for a Nova gathering. Unfortunately some of us werent so lucky and several tents were a little moist - so were the occupants...

The cars got a quick wipe down and we decided to assemble in a large circle in the middle of the area we'd been given.
