Default mk1 gte bumper on mk2 nova help

    Hi,

Ive just hit a massive stumbling block with my rear bumper as I didnt realise the mk1 and mk2 rear bumper fittings are different!

What have people done to fit the mk1 bumper with the sliding clip bits onto a mk2 shell?

Also I have got the common problem that one of yhe sliding metal brackets on the mk1 bumper has rotted away (was hoping to butcher one off the mk2 bumper before I knew they were different)

    Any ideas or solutions??

Iirc there also in a different position and will need holes drilling and maybe a bolt and nut to hold it on

Mk1 brackets need square holes that sit further back than the mk2 holes.

Really didnt give this a thought.... always had mk1's in the past and just assumed the rear bumper fitting would be the same.

One of my metal brackets on my gte bumoer has rotted off so might see if I can mold the mk2 bumper brackets to the mk1 one.

    nothing is ever simple
