    Group buy?
I had my eye on some nice magnesium alloys but they are a touch pointless when the hub and carrier weighs a ton

If someone had the autoCAD skills to recreate an uprated design, I'm sure the material cost wouldn't be more than £300.

i hate just replacing stuff its so wasteful, would them helicoils not be good enough the car will properly spend more time apart being rebuilt/alerted so they wouldn't go unchecked, could also make it part of my regular servicing checking the bolts condition etc?

Wasteful? Are you joking? Your talking about a bolt that holds a caliper on.. You know the thing that stops the car.. Or if the bolt comes out will stop the car when you don't want it too.
When it comes to brakes.. DON'T MESS ABOUT.

i wasn't joking i would rather save a part then just straight replace it, like a proper mechanic would and not a parts fitter in quick fit, i understand what your saying 'brakes are important', but what to say i couldn't fix rather then replace and it be as safe?

i dont want to do something thats going to get me killed obversely thats why i asked the question, the 2nd thing i dont want to do if buy a new replacement knuckle and **** that up aswell , so are the threads holding the caliper to the knuckle strange or different or was it just its time to let go?
