Hi, and welcome to the forum. Sorry I got the story slightly wrong, I got it second hand from a colleague and was from memory but I think I got the basic story accross.
Just trying to use it as an example to as you say, do it right and get good results. I was quite impressed and amused at how you had gone about it and thought it was a great idea to make a point and get things moving in the right direction

Part of this tale was in Autoexpress as well with pictures. I hit Peugeot with everything I could My advice to the OP is get the press involved. Once the olympics are over they will be desperate for stories.

This story is slightly wrong. That 206CC (2 months old) was damaged by the local Peogeot dealer when peogeot instructed them to do a repair to the leaking roof that the owner had cleary said not to do. The owner then drove there and then to Peugeot HQ and as you said in a clam and collected manner spoke to everyone they could. Peugeot gave the owner a courtesy car very quickly even though the 206CC was very new at the time and no one had any stocks. The car never was repaired properly and the owner got a new car.

This new car also leaked and when less than a week old the owner asked for a refund having lost all faith in the model. The garage & Peugeot UK refused. Peugeot UK supplied the owner with a courtesy car while they argued - 406 estate - lots of windows . The owner went to trading standards, got legal advice on a sign and posted it in all of the windws that were behind the driver and then drove around for a week. The sign basically stated what had happened and also a link to the 206cc owners website where a thread like thsi was running. This got a lot of publicity and the owner was quickly contacted and offered an immediate refund in full.

Now how do I know this? Well I was that person. This may sound like a rambling thread but the point I am trying to make is that if you do things right and get advice first you can get some cracking results.
    Legend!

On another note, this thread has also appeared on Rotary UK & also MLR it was mentioned on.
