I missed a set that went up for sale a few months ago... I'll fix it temporarily and seal it with zink primer for now...

That could be the set thats now in my loft

If that's the same side that has the rust in the earlier pictures then I'd replace the inner wing,
It's a fairly straight forward job, But some skill is required,
Have a look at this one I remover earlier

success is only limited by a weak mind

One early friday morning at the end of April 2012, the alarm clock woke me up at 4am. Got up, shower and shave, early brekkie and set off to the far far south where Jeffrey lives. Upon arrival, we set to the gargantuan task of fitting a rather large quantity of Nova and Cavalier parts in Jeff's Skoda. How we managed to squeeze it all in there is still beyond me...
Not long after, we left for Calais. On the way there, we passed through sunny Belgium. Except it wasn't sunny that day.
First stop: the channel tunnel...
...and onto the M20 towards London...
...soon to be treated to some typical British weather.
Had to do this for old time's sake. :-)
On the way, we came across a friendly Briton and his loon near a tall chimney.
Jeff having a little walk with said friendly Briton.
Once again en route, we noticed UK lorries are considerably taller than mainland ones. Anyone know the maximum height? Must be near 5 metres (16ft 5in) I guess.

One day I'll start a build thread. One day...

The next day, Jeff and myself were struck by the sheer awesomeness (if such a word exists) of Stu's soon-to-be-ex Nova. These pics do not do it justice, it has to be seen in the metal. This motor is a sight to behold. Stunning!
On the way back, again I couldn't resist so here goes...
Needless to say we got yet another treat of what makes Nova's corrode.
Fast forward a couple of hours and I got to unpack the rewards of our UK shopping spree.
From here, I want to thank mr. Vlietje for dragging me along all over England, and also for being good company and an excellent driver. Can't wait for the next parts run!
Cheers ears,
Niek

There's a left (iirc) chassis leg on eBay now chap![]()

uk trucks can go to 16'(5.0m), they usually have 2 floors, the top one goes up & down on box trailers. they carry lots of pallets.
the mainland of europe is standardised at 4.0m..

are you telling me that you can't get mayonaise on the continent???![]()

in belgium, you have to eat it with everything, its the law....
and i can't believe that you came to england & only came away with marmite & irn bru, i bet the shop staff were laughing when you paid for it
they are trying to ban irn bru because of all the food colourant they use in it...
edit... good call on the curry paste.. that is the one good thing you bought.

<thread hijack mode> Jeff, sorry for hijacking your thread mate.
LOL
true - the Belgians have their way with mayonaise
Helmann's is rather hard to come by down my end of Cloggieland
It must be quite obvious how seriously addicted to Marmite I am. Round here, we can only get the pathetically weedy 125gr jars. And not the Marmite XO or Ma'amite variety. Hence, I raided the Doncaster Sainsbury of its entire stock. And yes, they were laughing.
Irn Bru is simply not available in the Netherlands. Period.
Hardly surprising, Irn Bru is the closest you get to drinkable dayglo paint. Must be good then!
Patak's makes the world go round. Love indian food. Slobber.
