Default Project Nova Sr (Concourse Edition)

    Alreet all,
Thought id do a progress thread on the wee beast so i have something to go by and you can see im not a mincer like my fellow Stockport chum Wayne.
Right then bought on the 31st March 07 for ?950 with just 34,500 miles on the clock.
I bought it with a fair bit of work done but as every car lover knows there are always bits your not happy with.
Main problem was that when my mate Phil had owned the car some scumbag had broke into the nova via the drivers door by bending back the top of the door whilst having his knee into the centre of the door.
Damage was one funked door due to snapping the frame of the door and big dints down the centre of the door where the scumbags knee had been.
Anyway now firm owner of the lil beast i couldnt resist a photoshoot, pics taken by my mate Lynz cos my camera is crap.
    Anyway a few pics:

A few for the nova lovers:

Anyway car stayed pritty much the same for the month due to been skinting buying the bugger, only changes made were that i purchased a 4 branch manifold off Alistairolsen.
Made a massive difference to the exhaust tone and the car just wants to pull hard right to redline now.
I black hammerited the manifold and whilst i was at it i painted the rocker cover in red hammerite and back to blacked the air filter and cambelt cover.

Then as a few of you know i had an accident where someone dragged a trailer down the side of my car causing ?240 worth of damage.
One dinted quarter panel, one funked rear cluster and 1 damaged bumper later.

Anyway i then last Sunday had some spare time and seeing as the weather was really nice i finally recovered from my hangover i went outside to clean the nova.
4 hours washing and polishing and this is the produce of my hard labour:

    Proud is an understatement.
Anyway like most of us know after polishing your car being the picky sods we are we find bits were not happy with.
Now all i was planning to do was paint the drivers side but i found a few bits im not happy with so decided thats it, its having a full blow over.
Its now booked in for a full respray in 2 weeks time so ive got 2 weeks to prep the car.
On the plus side ive got a 2nd hand drivers door to go on and another bonnet.
My mate is currently getting hold for me a nova sr rear decal for the bootlid aswell.
Just need to try and get some rubstrips now for the bugger.
So on Friday i offically took the nova off the road and re-insured the cav of love to get me to work and back.
Started preping my drivers door today but rain has stopped play, will get pics when i get a chance. :o
And thats where im upto, well update as i go along.
    Comments welcome as always guys.
