Benn, I thought you were commenting on the state of my garage floor :s
Another piccy of the floor it's about 9cm off of the deck.

I take shite photos! Maybe this one is clearer.
I like that. Should work well and nope wasn't saying anything about the garage.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one PepsiFar from suicidalStill I get them tendenciesBringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce
Fill the gaps up in the splitter & bumper to splitter for a greater effect; I could never make mine that low & drive it on the road!
A very small update. I started it up! Yay! It's been a long while.
At first there was a horrible scraping noise that turned out to be the alternator touching. I have always had problems with clearance there, so will fit the smaller Denso alternator and see if I can get it to fit better.
However once that was disconnected it fired up and ran sweet, ran it up to temp then switched it off. Surprised that it ran as well as it did considering the modified engine and the same engine map as the standard XE.
I am also redesigning my dashboard. With this in mind here is the start of my latest project.
It's just in the box I am going to use for development. It will get rehoused once finished.
Neopixels?
Oh my are you Michael Knight and your installing kitt into your nova
Looks a fancy bit of kit Dar, tell us more.
Yup Neo pixels, 14 segment LED display, three way switch, rotary encoder and a button.
Going to develop on a ATmega2560 and then see what IO I end up using, but will probably end up running on another chip.
It's just a bit of fun at the moment, I need to plug in to the MBE system to see if I can extract the data I want before it goes in the car.
The neo pixels will be a rev counter from around 4000 rpm to around 8000 rpm. Will go all red for shift light indication. The 14 segment display will always show current rpm.
I also plan on adding voltage and water temp. I needed a new electronics project, I already had the neo pixels and the 14 segment display and thought that would make a cool rev counter.
Will post a piccy of it running with a mock up rev indication.
A quick mock up. The LEDs are mega bright. So had to turn them down. Once finished this will all go behind a smoked panel.
You are a geek dar and I'm looking forward to seeing it getting mapped as it sounded sweet on Friday
