    Default R1 Carb insurance?

    Just wondering if any one can help me out or have any ideas? ive got a gte engine on R1 carbs but cant decide if im better to buy a 1.2/1.4 and declare the enigne swap and mods or to buy a gte and tell them about the mods, any ideas which is cheaper? im 20 with 3 years ncb cheers

    i would put it in whatever shell you can find which is tidy, a nova builder cant be picky nowadays

    I'd imagine the engine conversion would be more to insure...

    As you're over 19, have a look at HIC's site - you can get an online quote including mods (and engine conversions) to get an idea of cost.

    im not sure about with a 1600 but i know it makes the quote cheaper using a poverty spec 1.0 opposed to a gte ect when using a let ect best thing to do is try. hic are pretty good once its 15 years or over ir becomes classic (to them) im getting stung this year first time in my own name 19 0ncb 1250 on my sri, however 1400 on an xe in my mk1 or 1600 for a let :D
