All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories

As per the original post of this thread i have finally got round to starting the check over of the engine.

We were aware the crank seal was weeping so after having built the engine back in 2000 it was decided to take the whole engine apart and see what the last 50k miles of driving has done (bear in mind it has been driven as intended on track etc etc) Another reason was the stem seals in the head could probably need a change as they have done galactic miles since i first bought/fitted the head back in '97

A few pics of our findings

engine bays still clean considering the car has been built for over 2.5 years

Again a clean pic considering 50k of miles (always wondered what pipe was weeping water, now know )

Flywheel still holding up well, no sign of struggle from the clutch or nowt, as fresh as when the block was redone

Clutch is the first initial weak link, still has abit left in it, but best to get it redone before fitting it back on, along with a new cover

So there we have it, not to bad in all fairness, replate clutch and get new cover, fit new crankseal. Out of caution i will be getting new rockers/valve springs etc etc etc as the car really only live on track now, so for a small outlay is worth doing

    more updates to follow
