    Default paint for xe head and block?

    i wanna paint ma xe a real glossy black,want it real shiny? any ideas of paint gotta be heat resistant i know but not sure on what? any help would be great.

    wont car paint do? fords have a nice focus black

    pretty sure car paint will. after all we jet wash them at like 100 degrees

    was thinking more of a paint i could jus brush on over all the c**p so i dont have to clean it up so much?

    if you want good results then any area you want to paint needs to be totally degreased and free of debris etc. then just ban on some hammerite for the block and HT paint for the head

    i've used ht before but it went a bit dull? really only wanna do head as block wont get seen so much?would hammerite be ok on head?

    hammerite tends to go a bit brittle with heat (and discolours).

    to be fair most paint wont take proper heat and still stay shiney, you want the head enameld in that case

    If your using hammerite make sure you use sprays as hammerite doesnt brush on too well.

    I used interior/exterior Focus DIY black gloss for my block
    Has stayed on fine, and is still shiny.

    It just took a while for the paint to "burn in" and stop stinking when the engine got warm/hot,Lol.

    how bad was the smell? did it last long?
