    Default W.I.P. My ICE install..

I have decided to finally start the install in my nova, as i transport my bike a lot and i always seem to carry tools with me i need to keep the back of the car as clear as possible, I dont have any back seats as it is but due to the situation i have decided not to have any big subs.

Now i will be using 2 amps in this system so i have decided that the best place to mount them will be behind the front seats where the rear passengers feet, this will keep them out of the way but will allow easy access for any work at a later date and keep them cool.

There will be front and rear speakers in the car but i havent really decidied on the location of the fronts yet, i am debating making some kickpods to go in the footwells for them, the rear speakers will be mounted in the 1/4 panels.

The main speakers will be 6x9's mounted in the floor where the rear seat bench normally is, i have decided to use these as they will give me the best range of sound and take up little space.

To be honest i havent really decided what equipment i will be using yet, I have the headunit and 6x9's, most of the system is still in the design phase, the one trick peice of hardware i have is a Pro-sound DR66 electronic crossover, its a 2 way crossover that will give me a good degree of control over the 6x9's so that i can fine tune them to give the sound that i am after.

With the amps as said i will be using 2, a 4 channel amp for the front and rear speakers and a 2 channel amp for the 6x9's.

Thats pretty much all i can say at the moment, i will upload pics of the bits i have so far and i will make some sort of wiring plan that i will put up aswell.

I'd definately try and keep it all one manufacturer as it looks a bit better.

I always love a good WIP thread.

Unfortunatly i will be using 4" sony speakers as i dont like the sound that the smaller JBL speakers give, they always sound a bit to tinny for my liking whereas the sony speakers have a crisper sound

If your after the best sound quality then mix and match mate.

I also need to do some work on my install.

Xbox has been taken apart and switch panel seperated. Still need to finish extending the wires for this. It will then be located just infront of the gear stick. I've brought some extension leads for the controllers too so they reach into the back seats. They'll be one screen up front and two in the back. :D
