    Default Steering Rack

    I've gotta change my steering rack tomorrow.
    is there anything i should know or is my trusty haynes manual gonna c me alrite again.

    peice of piss should have it done in half an hour, get the track done after to make sure all is ok and u wont b rubbing tyres off all funny.

    half an hour?
    nahh me and my mate done it on a proper 4 post ramp in quick fit and we took about 2 hours (where not daft with the spanners either) you will bet that the bottom right nut (down by the box) will be siezed and u will skin them kunckles and cry a lot!

    i'm not impressed.
    dont think theres anything wrong with the rack think its a wee tie rod outer balljoint causin the play.
    it got dark 2quick and we couldnt even get near that bottom right nut.
    all the rest is unclipped though and seems simple enuff.
