Problem??????
i have a MK2 Nova and the problem is when i start my window wipers going my car jerks and the einition lights flash. it usually happens when i am accelerating but sometimes happens when im not if u get what i mean, has anyone any Know what it could be

i have the same prob on my 1.2i it only happens when they park, the only fix i can find for it is fitting a 2.0 16v engine

It could be your alternator, or a bad earth strap. This means that your alternator can`t produce enough charge to power all your electrics and cope with you puttin demand on the engine.
It could be, wouldnt be sure unless I could play with it!

It sounds like MC says the wipers are pulling all the power or there is a bad earth. Check that the wiper mechanism isn't rubbing against the main + lead to the battery shorting it out (fire hazzard). I once had similar fault on an indicator when I accelerated, it turned out to be the engine rocking under acceleration and rubbing through a wire. good luck.
