Default Vauxhall Insurance is the best ever!

I'm 20, with 1yrs NCB (atm) got 3points (sp30) and two claims (x1 stolen recoverd, x1 vandalism) on vauxhall have just quoted me an amazing ?781.20 FC with NO excess!

Not bad for a 1400SR! Although I'll need to contact them to register my mods but other then that im well chuffed!

why go fully comp on a nova, especially if you havent declared the mods, you'll save a fair bit going tpft

Bizarre. Always seems to be 2-300 more for FC for me.

?781 for a 20 year old with a nova SR sounds about right to me as well. But I reckon you should try insureyourmotor.com and see what they come up with, i found them pretty good.

I've always found it cheaper, but not with HIC this year for some reason.

As Will said in another thread, FC being cheaper could be due to the excesses. Maybe statistics show Nova drivers with FC insurance are less likely to claim. Or maybe they just misplaced the decimal point when calculating the quote .

I don't remember ever having an FC policy being cheaper than TPFT, but I have had a few where its only been literally a couple of pounds between the two. Heh, I remember I looked into adding my ex to my Celica last year - 0NCB, 22, had a license for a couple years - ?8 ontop of my premium. Didn't do it though, she was bad enough in her Fiesta

All my mods are always declared, thats why my insurance was ?2400+ after making a claim and re-insuring my nova after it was stolen recovered!

also worth noting that windscreen cover is generally pointless on novas since they cost ?50 fitted anyway and you pay a ?50 excess on that
