1.4 sr performance

I've had my 1400 (91 Reg) to 121, no bullshit. With only a Peco backbox and K & N bolt on. This however woz pushing it to the limit.

Only done a 115 once, but the corner was rapidly approaching.
dont need the top end speed anyway,mid range pickup does the job.
also have this fear of gettin stopped at over 100 and losin the license

i had 112 out of my 1.2 the other day with standard wheels on but i can only get about 103 with my alloys on!! harsh really

All of you claiming to have done 120 or over in a 1.4sr, I bet you have all got standard speedo's with needles !!! They are soooo inacurate, If your that confidant taking and put it on a rolling road, Im prepared to be that your 120 will soon end up 115 or 110 !

137mph indicated (6400rpm) , with speedo overreading by 5mph at 70mph
