1.25Zetec Vs SRi

me mate dave has a 1.4SRi with full exhaust system and K&N filter. He swears blind that a 1.25 Fiesta Zetec can whip his ass up to about 100mph! he's raced this zetec a few times and it's completely standard. He says the Zetecs are much lighter than the novas and this is why!! surely a 1.4SRi cant be beaten by a 1.25fiesta can it?????

Cant sell the old Zetecs short, I used to have a 1.8 16v Zetec and they do go when u use the revs properly.Raced a Zetec fiesta in my GTE and it was quicker than I thought, just not quick enough!

the zetecs (1.8) are crap.... 105 bhp for a 1.8......shit if u ask me, as for the 1.25 , i beat them in ma car 1.4 sri wi full zorst system, k&n filter and super chip

I also have a 1.3sr Modded. I can just see off a 1.25 zetec. But I must admit they are fast! I can just about see off a Nova SRi with a performance backbox, but not a highly modded SRi!

My mates Sri with a K&N75i and backbox is quicker than a 1.25 zetec, it is quicker than a zetec with out the induction Kit aswell!!

ballsy.My old 'crap' Zetec would piss most novas other than a GTE/GSi or some other modded fing,I think it's as much to do with the driver as anything else.The Orion I had would do in 4th what most of your SR's do top end.
