see i was thinkin bout this stuff as well for my 1.4.
i reckon unless u can do these things on the cheap u may as well buy a GSi and start workin on it.
why make a 1.4 as quick as a GSi when u could buy a GSi and make it quicker?
    just a thought.

Good point mrtim, but I'm thinking about doing the same as wayne. Imagine the look on the faces of other drivers when they think their racing a standard 1.4Sr. Let us know how you get on wayne.

twin 40's and all that stuff wont make anywhere near 120bhp. i had twin 40's, 4 branch full system and backbox, piper cam and i got 102bhp from my 1.4. 120bhp is 50bhp over standard and thats nearly impossible from a 1.4sr. instead of spending all that, drop a 1.6 gsi lump in, theyre miles quicker straight away. me and a mate put one in mine and with a bit of help from jimbo its an absolute rocket
