    Default brake servo's??

what will fitting a bigger brake servo do? i have a 1.2 servo with 2.0 16v brakes. is it worth it or is it just a talking point (my servo's bigger than your servo)

    cheers

    ben.

Well the GSI brake servo is bigger and so should give better braking stength. I say its worth it, especially with 2.0 brakes.

i thought i assisted in the pushing of the pedal rather than increasing the amount it can be pushed by??

the brake servo is much like power steering. its nice, it makes life easyer, but it dosent acctually make you steer (so to speak)

is the GTE/GSi master cylinder any bigger or is it just the servo? If it is, what are the two sizes?

The bigger the servo, the more "assistance" you get with braking... my standard 1.2 servo requires me to pretty much stand on the pedal to get the brakes to stop decently ... with a bigger servo i wouldn't have to put so much effort in to get the same level of braking. As Camb said its just there to make your life easier.
