Guys I've just fitted SR clocks to my 1.2 merit, and everything was working fine till I noticed the speedo, it counts mileage fine, but it isn't showing speed. Any ideas? I can't drive my car like this!!!

inside the speedo there is a magnet that spins round next to a copper disc maybe these are knackered

Well guys, I took the speedo apart, had a fiddle with the spring that the needle connects to and now it works fine.
